Summertime Wedding on the Water!

As a Key West local, being out on the water is one of my favorite ways to enjoy this little island. So when Nancy and Mike told me they were hosting their wedding on the Fury catamaran, I couldn’t help but get excited! The weather was perfect, guests showed up with a ton of energy, and the staff were top notch. I know that hosting a destination wedding can get tricky at times, but between Fury and myself, all you have to do is sit back and worry about the dance party. As a career DJ, this will always be one of my top choices to celebrate love :)

A Marvelous Night For A Moondance - Audubon House, Key West

What a beautiful night Tiffany & Ryan were able to share with their family and friends!  Key West is such a magical place to get married, and I felt so lucky being able to provide wedding DJ entertainment for these two while they had a wonderful time in paradise.  Audubon House is full of such amazing orchids and tropical plants, you can't help but feel like you're in a different world.  Enjoy the photos and I hope to see you in Paradise!

The Time We Spend On You!

If you've looked through our reviews on Wedding Wire, The Knot, and Facebook, you'll notice that many couples talk about all the time we spend on them before their wedding day or special event.  In our efforts to always stay ahead of the game, we are all about peace of mind and planning, which takes a lot of (necessary) time.  From that perfect song edit for your first dance, or chatting on the phone with one of your guests looking for tips on giving a great toast, it's time we take seriously and will always make available for you.  

We are in the business to help you create memories, and believe it or not, sometimes that'll take us up to 30 hours for just for that one dreamy night!  To give you a better understanding of how important your event is to us, we broke down the amount of time we spend on you from that first phone call to the last song of the night.

Meet & Greet. Before we book a wedding client we like to get to know them. We want to find out what they like and what they dislike. We ask questions to find out if they’ve been to weddings recently or have seen things that they’ve loved and hated. We really want to qualify the couple to make sure we’re a good match. We’ll also discuss the couple’s venue and any decor enhancements they might be looking to add.  This is either done by phone, video chat, or in-person meetings.

Time: 1 – 2 hours

Follow Up & Contract Prep. After our initial consultation we take the time to follow up, put together detailed proposals and media samples with photo & video specific to that couple’s wedding. This is still part of the “selling” process, but it is detailed time that we put in to your event. And in some cases we won’t book the couple – either because we aren’t a perfect match or because of budgeting.

Time: 30 minutes – 3 hours

Planning Check In’s & Follow Up. Once we book a client, we check in several times leading up to the wedding to see how they’re doing and to see if they have any questions about the free online wedding planning tools we provide. While there’s no replacement for an amazing wedding planner, we'll give them tips and suggestions if they chose not to go that route.

Time: 2 – 3 hours

Final Planning Meeting. About two weeks before the couple’s wedding day, we meet or set up a phone/video conference with our clients and review ALL of the details of the wedding reception. If the couple has a timeline we work on that, along with musical themes and details. At this time, we'll have all the formality songs finalized, as well as a list of music of their choice for the rest of the event.  We'll also go over the names of the people we're announcing and make sure we know the proper pronunciation.  

Time: 1 – 2 hours

Music Editing & Prep. The week of the wedding we organize, obtain and edit the key music for the big day. We make sure we’ve got all our “must play” songs ready to go and our “do not play” songs and genres clearly marked so they don’t get played.  We are happy to make custom edits for formality songs and do that on a regular basis.

Time: 2+ hours

Scheduling Systems & Loading Gear.  This is the brutal, grueling part of the event that no one sees as professional speakers, lighting and production gear is very heavy and delicate at the same time. We also make sure to have backup plans and equipment prepared and in place.

Time: 30 minutes – 1 hour

The Drive.  Getting from our office to your venue sometimes only takes 10 minutes, but since we live within a small chain of islands that has only one road in and one road out, it could take us up to three hours or more. And if we’re traveling three hours there we’ll be driving three hours back after the event.  But we do it all for the love!

Time: 1 – 6 hours

Design Setup. Our company can take on some pretty complex wedding design projects. Even the most simple of wedding setups will take at least an hour. Weddings with extensive lighting design, video slideshows, separate music locations – these can take three hours or longer. We have a team of assistants to ensure a timely setup since we understand that some venues only give us a certain amount of time to set up.

Time: 1 – 4+ hours

The Visualize Entertainment Trademark.  This is what the clients and guests see. The flawless show. The packed dance floors. The fun. The magic.  It's what we would never achieve without our planning method.

Time: 4 – 8 hours

The Strike.  After we’ve spent the time to setup and performance, we’ve got to tear it down, pack it up and put the gear back in place to do it all over again next week (or in some cases the next day).

Time: 1 – 4 hours
